Christmas Gifts - PJ's

This year I decided to make my nieces pj sets for their Christmas presents. I made the pj pants using a shorts pattern for the sizing and shape and then I added trims, etc. The tops are either purchased t-shirts or singlets with an applique.
I made a little draw-string bag that coordinated with the pjs and put little hair ties, bracelets or lip gloss according to the age. They were purchased from Miss Sweetheart who stocks gorgeous hair accessories made by "Pretty Things Distract Me". (I will add a picture of some of the other things later.)
This is a simple applique created by cutting a picture out of the main fabric and shaping it into a heart. I appliqued it onto a square of the pink spotted fabric and added a purchased motif...looks very cute!

The applique on this singlet was created by enlarging a picture off the fabric on a photocopier and then cutting it out of co-ordinating colours. Finished with a purchased motif in the centre.

I love cherries!!!!

  1. I love your colour/fabric combinations. The motifs mixed with the appliques give a real 'designer' touch and I think the bags of goodies to match are a fantastic idea. (Might nick that idea some time :) )
